Framed! Eyewear Exhibition at The London College of Fashion

Today the London College of Fashion’s gallery called ‘The Fashion Space Gallery‘ opens with a new exhibition: ‘Framed! Contemporary Eyewear in Fashion‘.  This show launches the 2012-2013 season for the gallery and will feature a historic look at the ultimate statement accessory for the face from 1950 to today.

This is perfect timing given that this year mark’s RayBan’s 75th anniversary! (and yes I am uber excited about going to their anniversary party tomorrow night)

Framed! features over 200 pieces of eyewear from public and private collections and you are sure to see some famous faces legendary for their glasses…Iris Apfel and Andy Warhol to name two.  The exhibition and open till November 3rd.

I have recently discovered the perfect shape of specs for my oval face which is round round ROUND as seen in the photo above.  It makes me feel close to my fashion heros Edith Head and Iris Apfel…and it gives any outfit an eccentric edge. What’s your signature shape?
