When I saw this film my jaw dropped from the sheer glamour of it all!  Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day is a beautiful gem of a film…still need to read the book!  The set design of a young actresses apartment (a la sugar daddy of course) in London is 1939 is an Art Deco fantasy.  If I ever get that country house I am surely going to call on production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer to wave their magic wand over it.

By the way, this dream team also won a BAFTA for their set designs for Atonement…they are unstoppable!  Sarah also designed for:  The Chronicles of Narnia TV series in the 80s (remember that crazy Silver Chair?…I know!), Pride and Prejudice (the new one that’s not as good as the 6 hour one), Hanna and the new Anna Karenina…she’s fantastic and must really like Kiera Knightly.
